How Do Linked Rosters Work?
When accepting an invitation code, you may be asked if you'd like to link this team to another team. Teams should be linked when the specific team that you are accepting an invite for already exists elsewhere in GameSheet.
Example: Your team plays in a league that uses GameSheet for their regular season. If your team plays in a tournament that also uses GameSheet, you can link these teams.
Linking teams will allow you to manage your team across all seasons/tournaments that your team plays in with one click. Linked teams will have their rosters sychronized. Managers and coaches can also view all scheduled and completed games, scores and standings in one place on the Team Dashboard when teams are linked.
When accepting an invitation, the two options are:
- Do you want to add this team as a New and Separate Team?
- If this is the case, then select the option "Without Linking".
- If you'd like to link this team to another team that you already have access to then select the option to "Link to an Existing Team".
- Select the team from the drop down list to "link" to.
- Linked teams will have their rosters synced
